Blogger Stanislav Morozov announced the launch of a chat for Penza residents who have faced attempts to force them into signing contracts with the Ministry of Defense.

The VK chat, Isolated Russia (Penza), already has more than 300 members. People subjected to unlawful detention are encouraged to send their personal details and the address where they are being held. According to Morozov, they will receive prompt assistance, including legal representation and the delivery of essential items. The blogger said he does not consider VK a safe platform, adding: "We are not breaking any laws or calling for anything."

"We are people defending our basic rights and freedoms. The right not to be turned into a commodity or stripped of your free will under the threat of a police baton. When lawful means of protection stop working, the only shield left is your neighbor's shoulder. Our strength lies in this forced but conscious solidarity," Morozov wrote.

🔶In late July, Morozov reported that residents of the village of Bashmakovo in Penza Oblast had formed a vigilante group to protect fellow villagers from being forcibly sent to the war. Residents of Bashmakovo told 7x7 that cases of men being detained by military recruiters have indeed become more frequent since the spring.
