A participant in the "Food Instead of Bombs" event in Yekaterinburg was fined 10,000 rubles, as reported by It’s My City on November 11.

The court found activist Oleg Z. guilty of participating in an unauthorized public event (Article 20.2 of the Russian Administrative Code). He plans to appeal the verdict.

The free food distribution took place on October 6 in a park in Yekaterinburg. Police considered the event requiring prior authorization due to the posters reading "Food instead of bombs. Access to food is a right, not a privilege." Four individuals were detained.

One of the detainees was sentenced to nine days in jail for organizing the unauthorized gathering. Another was released without charges, while the case of the third detainee was dismissed due to "insurmountable doubts about his guilt."
